Synopsis
At one association, I helped expand the value of webinars and conference education by creating an “enhanced” education model that aligned with the strategic education plan that gave learners practical tools to use after the session ended. The goal was simple: improve members' learning transfer without adding association staff.
The Challenge
Like many associations, the organization offered strong live education, but there was an opportunity to help members apply what they learned more effectively back on the job. The team also needed a way to increase the value of existing content without significantly expanding workload or headcount.
The Solution
I worked with subject matter experts and speakers to create a new enhanced education product built around job aid infographics and executive summaries. (See the job aids in the image to the right). These materials extended the life of webinars and conference sessions, reinforced key takeaways, and made it easier for members to put ideas into practice. I also leveraged AI-supported workflows to help standardize and scale production more efficiently while maintaining the brand and quality.
The Results
The organization increased the practical value and ROI of its education content without adding staff. Members received more actionable resources, and the team gained a scalable model for extending the impact of existing learning programs.
Executive Takeaway
Sometimes the highest-value education innovation is not a new event. It is a better way to help learners use what they have come to learn.
