AI Foundations Sprint

Six weeks from "we should be using AI" to a policy, a pilot, and trained staff

If you've sat through a leadership meeting where AI came up and nobody had a clear next step, you know the cost of not having a structure. The AI Foundations Sprint is built for that moment. In six weeks, you walk away with an AI policy (comprehensive template included; you'll work with your own lawyer for customization and finalization), a one-page staff guide, an approved tools list, a trained pilot group, and a board briefing deck for your pre-pilot conversation. We will work with you to anchor your AI strategy to your mission and strategic plan.

It's the difference between "we're looking into it" and "here's what we did and here's what we learned."

Meanwhile:

  • Some staff are quietly pasting member data into ChatGPT on personal accounts
  • Other staff are afraid to touch any of it, in case they get in trouble
  • IT and legal are waiting for someone to bring them a draft of something
  • Six months have gone by and nothing has actually changed

So you end up with shadow IT, staff anxiety, or a long pause that the board will eventually ask about.

This sprint is the structured way out of that.

Who this is for

You're a good fit for this Sprint if your association is in one of these spots:

  • Haven't started at all
  • Started informally but want to "get it right"
  • Have a policy but no AI tool adoption

This is not a fit if you're already piloting AI across multiple departments and need integration work; that's a different conversation. Book some time with me if that resonates.

What you walk away with

By the end of six weeks, you will have:

  1. A comprehensive AI policy template - work with your attorney or IT team to customize it to your association
  2. A staff guide aligned to that policy, so staff can actually use it daily
  3. An approved tools list with reasoning for each pick, so you're not relitigating tool choices every month
  4. A trained pilot group of 2 to 15 cross-functional staff, briefed and ready
  5. A board briefing deck for your Touchpoint 1 (pre-pilot) conversation
  6. A baseline confidence survey with results, so you have a starting number to measure against next year
  7. A recorded training session you can reuse for new hires

Plus a 30-day check-in call after launch, because the first month is when questions actually surface.

What this fixes

If you've sat through a leadership meeting where AI came up and nobody had a clear next step, you know the cost of not having a structure.

This sprint gives you:

  • ✅ A defensible policy that you can have your IT and legal counsel customize and review
  • ✅ Staff who know what they're allowed to do, in writing, on one page
  • ✅ A pilot group that produces actual examples for your board
  • ✅ A baseline number for staff confidence, so you can show movement next year
  • ✅ A board narrative that says "here's what we did and here's what we learned," not "we're looking into it"
  • ✅ A 60+ page toolkit that provides additional resources, including fun team trainings you can do to encourage AI adoption

What it's not

  • ❌ Not a tool implementation. You'll have an approved list; the procurement and rollout of each tool is on your team.
  • ❌ Not enterprise change management. Two training sessions and a pilot get you started, not finished.
  • ❌ Not a substitute for your legal counsel. The policy is drafted for them to review, not in place of them.
